HaruHost

Project Zomboid server guide

Become admin on a Project Zomboid server

Open the server's Players page in HaruHost, choose the player and Set role to Admin, or another role such as GM or Moderator. It works for players who are offline too, and takes effect when they next join.

Step by step

  1. Open the server's Players page. The player needs to have joined once.
  2. Choose Set role and pick Admin.
  3. The player reconnects to get it.

The roles

Build 41 has Admin, Moderator, Overseer, GM and Observer. Build 42 servers can define their own roles, and HaruHost lists the ones the server has. A player has one role at a time; removing it returns them to the server's default.

From Discord

The Discord bot gives and removes roles too.

The admin account

The server's own admin account uses the admin password in its start file, on the Files tab.

Questions

Do I need to type commands in game to give admin?

No. HaruHost changes the player's role in the server's account database, so no command or console is needed.
