ARK: Survival Ascended dedicated server
Host your own ARK: Survival Ascended server
What HaruHost does for ARK: Survival Ascended
Run a cluster: chat is shared between your maps through Discord Chat, and on Windows survivors, creatures and items travel between them. On Windows, change settings in Server Config, as searchable cards or the raw config files, and share them between maps with Cloud Config. Install the ARK Server API and its add-ons, see players with levels, kick and ban from the app or Discord, back up only player data, export player profiles, and keep chat history.
Server Config Windows
Edit the server's own config files in two views: parsed, where each setting is a switch, list or number field, or raw, as text on the Files tab. Both change the same files. New and imported Windows servers use it for Game.ini, GameUserSettings.ini and the start file, with searchable cards from rates and breeding to structures, items, tames and mods.
Cloud Config Windows
Share Server Config cards such as Rates, Breeding, Mods or Player Roles between your maps. Change a cloud config once and every server using it gets the change at its next start, while each map can still add mods of its own. Before a server starts using one, you see which of its settings will change.
Deep game settings
With Auto Config, editors for supply crates, engram overrides and auto-unlocks, wild creature levels, spawn weights, breeding, harvest rates, crafting costs and item stat limits, without writing ini lines.
Cluster Windows
Give your maps one cluster ID so survivors, creatures and items travel between them, and choose what may be uploaded and downloaded.
Players, levels and moderation
Everyone who joins, with playtime, levels and level-ups. Kick and ban from the app or Discord. With Auto Config, servers that share a Player Roles profile share one admin, ban and whitelist list, on any of your machines.
Chat Logs
Search chat by message or sender, filter by channel, browse older conversations and send messages from the app, even while the server is offline.
RCON console
Send admin commands such as SaveWorld or DestroyWildDinos over RCON from the desktop app or any browser, with no separate RCON tool. Automations can send them for you.
ARK Server API Windows
Install the ARK Server API and add-ons from its catalog from the app, and see the API's own messages in the server console while it gets ready.
Smaller backups Paid
Keep a set number of backups, back up only player data, or skip ARK's extra dated world saves, so backups stay much smaller. Export a player's profile, and import up to 20 at once.
On every ARK: Survival Ascended server, too

Import an existing server
Browse to an existing server's folder; HaruHost recognises it and keeps your saves and settings. Works on Windows.
Discord Chat Paid
Game chat appears in Discord, and Discord replies appear in game. Chat can also be shared between your servers, on any of your machines.
Mods
Mods and map mods install from CurseForge, and can be added from Discord. The Mods page shows each mod's name from CurseForge, kept in sync.
Automation Paid
Restart, update, back up and post to Discord on a schedule, after a crash, when the game updates or when a player joins or leaves.
Files Paid
Upload and download server files in the browser, with folders as ZIP.
Discord bot Paid
From Discord, start, stop, restart and update the server, see who is online, kick, ban or unban players and give roles such as Admin.

ARK: Survival Ascended server questions
Can HaruHost host ARK: Survival Ascended servers?
Yes. HaruHost runs ARK: Survival Ascended dedicated servers on Windows and Linux: friends can join through the Tunnel without port forwarding (paid plans), you see who is playing and for how long, chat history is searchable, game chat flows to and from Discord and between your servers (paid plans) and mods install from CurseForge.
Can I host ARK: Survival Ascended servers on Linux?
Yes. ARK: Survival Ascended servers run on Windows and Linux, and you manage them from the desktop app or the web panel.
Do my friends need port forwarding to join?
No. On a VPS, friends join at its public address. At home, the Tunnel (paid plans) lets them join through one of 14 regions without router changes. The server's Details tab shows what they need to join.
Can I import my existing ARK: Survival Ascended server?
Yes. Browse to its folder and HaruHost recognises the server and imports it with its saves and settings. Import works on Windows.
Can I see who is playing?
Yes. The Players page lists everyone who has joined, with playtime, sessions, last seen, levels and level-ups. Kick and ban players from the list. Paid plans show every player; the free plan shows one.
Does HaruHost support ARK: Survival Ascended mods?
Yes. Mods and map mods install from CurseForge, and can be added from Discord. The Mods page shows each mod's name from CurseForge, kept in sync.
Can I edit the ARK: Survival Ascended server's config files myself?
Yes. The Server Config page has a parsed view, where each setting is a field, and a Files tab with the raw files to edit as text. Both change the same files, so an edit in one shows in the other. New and imported Windows servers have Server Config; servers on Linux use Auto Config.
Can I send RCON commands to my ARK: Survival Ascended server?
Yes. HaruHost connects to the server's RCON for you: type admin commands in its console from the desktop app or any browser, and let automations send them on a schedule or after an event.
Can HaruHost run an ARK: Survival Ascended cluster?
Yes. Discord Chat shares global chat between the cluster's servers on any of your machines, with no mod on the server. On Windows, give the maps one cluster ID so survivors, creatures and items travel between them, and choose what may be uploaded and downloaded. Each map is one game server on your plan.
Can my ARK: Survival Ascended maps share their settings?
Yes, with Cloud Config on Windows servers that use Server Config. Put cards such as Rates, Breeding, Mods or Player Roles in a cloud config and choose which maps use it. A change reaches each map at its next start, and each map can still run mods of its own.
How much memory does each ARK: Survival Ascended map need?
The ARK wiki measures 7 to 12 GiB of memory per map on a new world with default settings and no players, for example 8 to 10 GiB for The Island and 10.5 to 12 GiB for The Center. It recommends 4 CPU cores per map and prefers fast single cores over more cores. Memory use grows with the world and its players, so size each machine for the maps it runs. One plan covers your servers on several machines.
