VPS
Skip the game server host. Run every server on your own VPS.
A game server host is a server in a datacenter with a control panel on top, billed per server. Rent the server yourself and install HaruHost with one command: you get the panel, players, chat, mods and Discord for every server on the machine.
Three steps from a fresh VPS to running servers
-
1
Rent an Ubuntu VPS
From any provider, on x86-64. Size it for the games you run; you can move up a size later.
-
2
Run one command
curl -fsSL https://haruhost.com/install.sh | sudo bashHaruHost installs as a service that starts with the server. Sign in with a QR code, right in your SSH session.
-
3
Create servers from anywhere
Pick a game in the web panel on any device. HaruHost installs Docker for you, and players join at the VPS's public address.
Pay for the machine, not for every server
A host bills each server, every month. On a VPS, another server costs nothing extra while the machine has room, and one HaruHost plan covers 3, 9 or 25 servers.
Game server host
That is $190–$275 a year for one 10-slot Palworld server at large hosts. A second server is a second bill, a third server a third.
Your own host
A VPS
- 8 GB · 4 shared cores€14.50 a month
- 16 GB · 8 shared cores€26.92 a month
- 32 GB · 12 shared cores€45.36 a month
One machine for several servers, as many as its memory and CPU handle.
HaruHost
- S1 · 3 servers€4.99 a month
- G1 · 9 servers€9.99 a month
- P1 · 25 servers€14.99 a month
Billed monthly, or 17% less yearly. The panel, players, chat, mods, Discord, backups and automations for every server in the plan.

Everything a community server needs
What works for each game on Linux is listed on its game page.
Players
Everyone who has joined, with playtime, sessions and level-ups. Admins and bans the way each game does them, with no limit on players on paid plans.
Chat Logs
Searchable chat history, even while the server is offline, and messages to players.
Mods
Thunderstore, Steam Workshop, Modrinth and CurseForge, without copying files by hand.
Discord bot and chat Paid
Start servers from Discord, see who is playing and relay game chat both ways. No bot to host.
Automation Paid
Restart, update and back up on a schedule, after a crash or when the game updates.
Backups Paid
Back up worlds with a keep count and restore them in one step.
Files
Upload and download server files (paid plans) and edit config files in the browser, no SFTP needed.
Console and graphs
A live server console, with CPU, RAM and player graphs (paid plans).
Web panel
Manage every machine from any device, and invite an admin with their own permissions (paid plans).
Good to know before you switch
Size the VPS for your games
Each dedicated server needs the memory and CPU its game asks for; HaruHost itself is light, and its live graphs (paid plans) show what each server uses. Add up the games you want to run at once, and move up a size when you add more. The VPS prices above are for cores shared with the provider's other customers; for busy servers, choose dedicated cores (netcup sells them as root servers).
Ubuntu on x86-64
HaruHost runs game servers in Docker and installs it for you on Ubuntu. Other distributions work once Docker Engine is installed. Pick a full virtual machine (KVM): container-based VPSes often cannot run Docker, and ARM servers are not supported.
42 of 43 games on Linux
If a game misbehaves on your server, tell us in the HaruHost Discord. Reports from server owners are how game-specific problems get found and fixed.
The server is yours
The provider keeps the hardware running, and you choose what else runs on it. If the provider or Ubuntu has a firewall, open each game's ports there, and keep Ubuntu's own updates on, as on any server.
VPS questions
Which VPS do I need?
An x86-64 VPS running Ubuntu from any provider, as a full virtual machine (KVM); container-based VPSes often cannot run Docker. Size its memory and CPU for the games you run: each dedicated server needs what the game asks for, and HaruHost itself is light. Start small and move up a size when you add servers.
Is a VPS cheaper than a game server host?
Usually, once you run more than one server: a host bills each server every month, while one VPS runs several servers and one HaruHost plan covers them all. For a single small server the two cost about the same, and HaruHost adds players, chat, mods and Discord.
Will my server run better on a VPS than at a game host?
You know what it runs on. On a VPS you choose the cores and memory, and HaruHost's live CPU, RAM and player graphs (paid plans) show when a server needs more, so you can move up a size. Hosts sell plans by player slots: GPORTAL's Palworld page, for example, sells servers by player slots and days and names no CPU or memory (checked 2026-10-12). Most VPSes share their cores with the provider's other customers; for steady performance on busy servers, choose dedicated cores.
How do players join?
At the VPS's public address; there is no router to set up. If your provider has a firewall, open the game's ports there. You can also use the Tunnel (paid plans) for 25 games; the server's Details tab shows what players need to join.
Can I move my server from a host?
For 10 games, download your server files from the host and import the folder; HaruHost recognises the server. For other games, create a server in HaruHost and upload your world with Files (paid plans).
Do all games work on Linux?
42 of the 43 games run on Linux. If a game misbehaves on your server, tell us in the HaruHost Discord; reports from server owners are how game-specific problems get fixed.
Your own game server host, one command away.
One command on an Ubuntu VPS, or an installer on Windows. One plan for every server you run, from €4.99 a month.
