# HaruHost

> HaruHost turns a VPS, home server or PC into your own game server host. One command installs it on Ubuntu, and the app or web panel runs servers for 43 games with players, chat, mods, Discord, backups and automatic updates. One plan covers all your servers, instead of a bill for each.

HaruHost turns a VPS, home server or PC into your own game server host. On Linux it installs with one command (`curl -fsSL https://haruhost.com/install.sh | sudo bash`) as a background service managed from a web panel (https://gsm.haruhost.com/); on Windows there is a desktop app and a background service. It installs, imports and runs dedicated game servers, and works with each game directly: it knows who is playing, keeps chat history, manages bans and mods, and connects servers to Discord.

## What it does

- VPS: rent an x86-64 Ubuntu VPS (a full virtual machine), run the install command over SSH and sign in with a QR code. The background service starts with the machine and installs Docker on Ubuntu (other distributions need Docker Engine first). Players join at the VPS's public address once the game's ports are open in the provider's firewall, if it has one. Game servers start again after a reboot through an automation (paid plans). One plan covers every server on the machine.
- Self-hosting: 43 games, 42 of them also on Linux (Linux game servers run in Docker). Guided setup for every game; existing servers can be imported for 10 games. Tunnel (paid plans) lets friends join without port forwarding for 25 games through 14 regions; V Rising uses invite codes. Automation (paid plans) runs on a schedule, after a crash, when HaruHost starts, when a player joins or leaves, or when a game update is released. Backups are on paid plans.
- Players: HaruHost keeps a record of everyone who joins, not only who is online. Named player lists for 16 games and player counts for 4 more; playtime, sessions and last seen for 13; levels and level-ups for 4; skill-ups for Project Zomboid; a 30-day population graph; bans for 17 and admin roles where the game has them. No limit on how many players are tracked on paid plans; the free plan shows one player. Chat Logs (searchable chat history) for 6 games. Some V Rising features (playtime, levels, chat) work on Windows only.
- Mods: Thunderstore profiles for Valheim and V Rising, shared between your servers and your own game; Steam Workshop for Palworld and Project Zomboid; Modrinth for Minecraft: Java Edition; CurseForge for Hytale; mod catalogs for ARK and Soulmask. Mods can be managed from Discord for 8 of these games (not Palworld).
- Discord, with no bot to host: Discord Chat (two-way game chat, 5 games) and a bot to start, stop, restart and update servers and see players (paid plans); live Server Info, Player Activity and Device Info messages.
- Alternative to paid hosts: one plan covers several servers; plans count game servers, never player slots. A 10-slot Palworld server at large hosts costs about $15.60–$22.59 per 30 days (checked 2026-10-11). A VPS costs €14.50 a month for 8 GB, €26.92 a month for 16 GB, €45.36 a month for 32 GB (netcup, 12-month term, including 19% German VAT (varies by country), checked 2026-10-11) and runs as many servers as its memory and CPU handle; these prices are for cores shared with other customers, and dedicated cores cost more. On a VPS you choose the CPU and memory and see them in HaruHost's live graphs (paid plans), while hosts sell plans by player slots (GPORTAL's Palworld page names no CPU or memory, checked 2026-10-12). On your own PC, servers are offline when it is off.
