Set the max wild dino level on an ARK: Survival Ascended server

Open the Max Wild Dino Level card, turn it on and set the level you want, from 30 to 1000. HaruHost sets ARK's difficulty for you; newly spawned wild creatures follow it after the next restart.

Set it

  1. Open the Max Wild Dino Level card.
  2. Turn the setting on.
  3. Set Max Wild Dino Level, for example 150 for the official level or 300 for higher-level creatures.
  4. Restart the server.

How ARK sets the level

ARK has no setting that takes a level. It uses a difficulty value, and the highest wild level is that value times 30. Official servers use 5, for level 150. The card does the math, so 300 becomes 10.

Creatures already in the world

Only new spawns follow the new level. To replace the creatures that are already there, run DestroyWildDinos from the RCON console, or turn on Force Respawn Dinos on Start on the Dino Settings card for one restart.

Questions

What is the max wild dino level in ARK: Survival Ascended?

150 on official servers. With the card you can set any level from 30 to 1000 in steps of 5.

Why are wild dinos still level 150 after changing it?

Creatures that spawned before the change keep their level. Wipe the wild creatures with DestroyWildDinos, or let them respawn over time.
