Creature spawns on an ARK: Survival Ascended server

Dino Spawn Weights makes a creature more or less common or stops it from spawning, and NPC Replacements swaps one creature for another; pick creatures from a list. Dino Count Multiplier on the Dino Settings card changes how many wild creatures there are.

More or fewer of a creature

  1. Open Dino Spawn Weights and pick the creature.
  2. Set Spawn Weight Multiplier, or turn on Disable Spawns to stop it from spawning.
  3. Turn on Override Spawn Limit % to cap its share of the spawns.

Replace a creature

On NPC Replacements, pick the creature to replace and the one that spawns instead. To stop a creature from spawning, use Disable Spawns on Dino Spawn Weights.

The whole world

  • Dino Count Multiplier, from 0.1 to 5 times the creatures.
  • Force Respawn Dinos on Start and Auto-Respawn Wild Dinos Interval, to wipe and respawn wild creatures.

In Server Config

The Spawn Containers card adds, replaces or removes creatures in a map's spawn areas, and the Creatures card turns spawns off or limits them to some kinds.

Wipe wild creatures now

Run DestroyWildDinos from the RCON console. New creatures spawn with the current settings.

Questions

How do I stop a creature from spawning?

Pick it on Dino Spawn Weights and turn on Disable Spawns, or use the Dino Class Restrictions card to stop it from being tamed instead.
