Turn it on
- Open the server's settings and the ASA API card.
- Press Install for the API and its loader. The card shows when they are ready, when an update is available and when a repair is needed.
- Turn on Enabled and start the server. While it gets ready, the server console shows the API's own messages, for example while it downloads or waits after an ARK update.
Add plugins
- On the ASA API card, open Add Plugin.
- Search the catalog by name, category, author or version. Each entry shows how it is offered: official, paid, manual install and so on.
- Press Install. Installed plugins are listed with their version and can be reinstalled or uninstalled.
Plugins are made by other people, not by HaruHost, so check a plugin's page before you install it. Paid plugins are bought from their authors.
config.json
The API's own config.json can be edited from the same card, without opening the server's folder.
Questions
Does the ARK Server API work on a Linux ASA server?
No, HaruHost starts the ARK Server API on Windows servers only.
My server stopped starting after an ARK update with the API on. What now?
The API often needs its own update after an ARK update. The console shows the API's messages while the server gets ready; reinstall the API or a plugin from the card when an update is available.
