Project Zomboid server guide

A Project Zomboid server manager

HaruHost manages Project Zomboid dedicated servers on Windows and Linux from one app and a web panel. It edits the server's own settings files, adds Workshop mods, shows every survivor with playtime and skills, sets roles, keeps chat history and backs up the world and single characters.

Server Config

  • Server Settings: every servertest.ini setting, with the range and default the game writes next to it.
  • Sandbox Settings: zombies, loot, world, skills and your mods' own sandbox options.
  • Mods: Workshop items and mod IDs in load order.
  • Memory, Network Settings, Spawn Points and Spawn Regions.
  • Files: the raw files, for anything else.

HaruHost changes only the values you edit. Settings changed in game, comments and mod tables stay in the files.

Players

  • Everyone who has joined, with playtime, sessions, last seen, skills and skill-ups.
  • Set a role such as Admin or GM, for players online or offline.
  • Kick and ban from the list or Discord.
  • Export a character and restore it later; see character backups.

Running it

  • Searchable chat logs and Discord Chat both ways.
  • Restarts with in-game warnings, updates and backups from automations.
  • The server console with ready-made commands.
  • A Discord bot to start, restart, update and moderate the server.

Questions

Can I still edit servertest.ini by hand?

Yes. The Files tab shows it as text, and what you change there shows on the Server Settings page.
