ARK: Survival Evolved server not showing in the list

Most often a filter or the version hides it. Set the session filter to Unofficial, search the exact server name and check that the game and the server are on the same version, Latest or Preaquatica. If it still doesn't show, check that the server is online in HaruHost and that its ports are reachable, or use the Tunnel on Linux.

Check these first

  1. In Join ARK, set the session filter to Unofficial and clear other filters, such as the map.
  2. Search for the exact Server Title from the Details tab.
  3. Check the version. A server on the Preaquatica branch only shows for players on Preaquatica; see Preaquatica.
  4. Check that the server shows as online in HaruHost. A new map can take several minutes on its first start.

If it still doesn't show

On Windows or a VPS with Ports, the list needs the server's ports to be reachable from the internet: the game port, the port after it and the query port. Open your port range, or let HaruHost do it with Auto-manage UPnP; see port forwarding.

With the Tunnel on Linux

When HaruHost runs as a service on Linux, the Tunnel lists the server at a public address, so the entry players click is one they can reach, even behind CGNAT. See hosting without port forwarding.

Questions

Does my ARK server show in the list when I use the Tunnel?

Yes. On Linux with HaruHost as a service, it shows at the Tunnel's public address, and friends join it from the list.

My server shows, but nobody can join. Why?

Check that the game and the server are on the same version and that the ports are reachable. On your own address, players at home use the Local Address from the Details tab. See friends can't join.
