Set the max level
- Open the Max Wild Dino Level card.
- Turn on Enabled.
- Set Max Wild Dino Level, for example 150 for the official level or 300 for higher-level creatures.
- Restart the server.
ARK has no setting that takes a level. It uses a difficulty value, and the highest wild level is that value times 30. The card does the math, so 300 becomes 10.
Creatures already in the world
Only new spawns follow the new level. To replace the creatures that are already there, run DestroyWildDinos from the RCON console, or turn on Force Respawn Dinos on Start on the Dino Settings card for one restart. Auto-Respawn Wild Dinos Interval (s) does it on a timer.
Which creatures spawn
- Dino Spawn Weights: pick a creature, then make it more or less common with Spawn Weight Multiplier, cap its share by turning on Override Spawn Limit % and setting Spawn Limit Percentage, or turn on Disable Spawns.
- NPC Replacements: replace one creature with another wherever it spawns, both picked from a list.
How many spawn
Dino Count Multiplier on the Dino Settings card scales the number of wild creatures, from 0.1 to 5.
Questions
What is the max wild dino level in ARK: Survival Evolved?
150 on official servers. With the card you can set any level from 30 to 1000.
Why are wild dinos still level 150 after changing it?
Creatures that spawned before the change keep their level. Wipe the wild creatures with DestroyWildDinos, or let them respawn over time.
