HaruHost

ARK: Survival Evolved server guide

Move an existing ARK: Survival Evolved server

On Windows, choose Import Existing Server when you add an ARK: Survival Evolved server and point HaruHost at the server you already run. HaruHost recognises it and keeps its saves, reads its launch script, Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini, and shows those settings as cards for you to check before the server is created.

Step by step on Windows

  1. Stop the server you are moving.
  2. In HaruHost, choose Add → New game server, pick the PC, then ARK: Survival Evolved.
  3. Pick the version the server runs, Latest or Preaquatica.
  4. Choose Import Existing Server and pick the server's folder.
  5. At Config Import, check the launch script, Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini HaruHost read, then review the cards and create the server.

What comes along

  • The world, the tribes, the players and their tames.
  • The settings from GameUserSettings.ini, Game.ini and the start line, on the Auto Config cards. Settings without a card stay in the GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini cards.
  • The mods and the map, on the Base Config and Mods cards; check them before the first start.

Only the settings, or a Linux server

When you create any new ARK: Survival Evolved server, on Windows or Linux, the Config Import step takes the launch script, Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini of a server you ran before: choose Import Existing ARK Config and paste or import them. To bring the world along, upload its save files with Files.

Questions

Does importing change my original server?

No. HaruHost copies what it needs into the new server and leaves the original folder as it was.

Are my settings kept when I import?

Yes. HaruHost reads them from the server's GameUserSettings.ini, Game.ini and start file and shows them on the cards before you create the server.
