ARK: Survival Ascended server guide

Structure settings on an ARK: Survival Ascended server

In Server Config, the Structures & Decay card has decay in PvE and PvP, the pickup window, turret and generator limits, platform saddle limits, cave building and structure damage. Turn on Disable Structure Decay in PvE to keep bases forever, or lower PvE Structure Decay Time to clear old ones sooner.

Decay

  • Disable Structure Decay in PvE, PvE Structure Decay Time Multiplier and Enable Structure Decay in PvP.
  • Fast Decay for Unsnapped Core Structures, so lone foundations and pillars used to block spots decay sooner.
  • Old Structure Destruction Multiplier for abandoned bases.

Building

  • Structure Pickup Window and Always Allow Structure Pickup.
  • Allow Cave Building in PvE and PvP, and Ignore Building Prevention Areas.
  • Disable Structure Placement Collision, to let structures overlap.
  • Max Structures In Range on the Launch Arguments card.

Turrets, generators and platforms

  • Limit Nearby Turrets with Nearby Turret Limit and radius, and Nearby Generator Limit.
  • Platform Saddle and Raft Limit, Allow Multiple Platform Floors and the platform building area.

Damage

Structure Resistance Multiplier (lower is tougher) and Structure Damage Multiplier for spike walls and other structures that deal damage.

On Linux, add the lines to the GameUserSettings.ini or Game.ini card.

Questions

How do I stop structures from decaying on my ARK server?

On a PvE server, turn on Disable Structure Decay in PvE. On PvP, decay is off unless Enable Structure Decay in PvP is on.
