ARK: Survival Ascended server guide

PvE and PvP settings for ARK: Survival Ascended

In Server Config, the Server Rules & Tribes card has PvE Mode, Offline Raid Protection, friendly fire, scheduled PvE times, tribe wars and the tribe and alliance size limits. Turn on PvE Mode for a PvE server, or leave it off for PvP and set raid protection to taste.

PvE

  • PvE Mode turns off player-versus-player damage.
  • Allow Tribe Wars (PvE) lets tribes agree on a war.
  • Disable Structure Decay in PvE and the PvE decay times are on Structures & Decay.

PvP

  • Offline Raid Protection protects a tribe's base and tames while all its members are offline, after Offline Protection Delay.
  • Disable Friendly Fire (PvP), Increase PvP Respawn Delay and Disable Railguns in PvP.

PvE at set times

Scheduled PvE switches the server to PvE between Scheduled PvE Start and End, for example PvP only in the evening. Turn on Scheduled PvE Uses Real Time to use the server's clock.

Tribes

  • Max Players per Tribe, Max Alliances per Tribe and Max Tribes per Alliance, or Prevent Tribe Alliances.

Hardcore

Hardcore Mode sends players who die back to level 1.

On Linux

Add the lines to the GameUserSettings.ini card, for example serverPVE=True or PreventOfflinePvP=True.
