Crafting and item settings on an ARK: Survival Ascended server

The Item Crafting Costs card changes what an item costs to craft, with items and resources picked from a list. In Server Config, Items & Crafting has spoiling, corpse and dropped item times, fuel use, wireless crafting and custom recipes; Item Stat Clamps limits item stats.

Crafting costs

  1. Open Item Crafting Costs.
  2. Pick the item, then each resource and its amount. Rows for the same item are combined.
  3. Turn on Require Exact Type if only that exact resource may be used.

Spoiling and decay

  • Spoiling Time Multiplier, higher values make food last longer.
  • Corpse Decomposition Time Multiplier and Dropped Item Decomposition Time Multiplier.
  • Fuel Consumption Interval Multiplier, higher values make fuel last longer.

Crafting

  • Crafting Skill Bonus Multiplier and the custom recipe settings.
  • Wireless crafting from nearby storage, on or off for players, creatures and structures, and its range.

Item stats

On Item Stat Clamps, set a limit for armor, durability, weapon damage and other item stats, and turn on Clamp Item Stats on the Items & Crafting card (on Linux, ClampItemStats=True in the GameUserSettings.ini card).

Spoiling, decay, fuel and wireless crafting are on the Server Config cards. On Linux, add the lines to the Game.ini card.

Questions

How do I make food last longer on my ARK server?

Raise Spoiling Time Multiplier on the Items & Crafting card; 2 makes food spoil half as fast.
