The official presets
Type a preset's name into Game Settings Preset to use it. V Rising ships with StandardPvP, StandardPvE, DuoPvP, TrioPvP, SoloPvP, HardcorePvP, HardcoreDuoPvP and HardcoreTrioPvP, the _DailySiege, _WeekendSiege and _NoSiege versions of the PvP presets, and Level30PvE to Level90PvE with matching PvP presets that start players at that level.
Game Difficulty Preset takes Difficulty_Easy, Difficulty_Normal or Difficulty_Brutal. Leave both empty to use your own ServerGameSettings.json.
Your own gameplay settings
- On the server's Manual Config page, turn on Manual Configuration.
- Open Configuration Files and choose ServerGameSettings.json.
- Add the settings you want to change, with the names V Rising uses, for example
"ClanSize": 6. Settings you leave out keep the game's defaults. - Save and restart the server.
Each mode keeps its own world, so choose Auto Config or Manual Configuration before the first start. On Linux, Manual Configuration is the only mode and holds every setting.

Questions
Why do my ServerGameSettings.json changes do nothing?
A Game Settings Preset is set. V Rising then uses the preset instead of your file; clear the preset to use your own settings.
Can I change settings while the server runs?
Edit them any time, then restart the server. V Rising reads its settings files when it starts.
