HaruHostFind the invite code
- In the server's details in HaruHost, where the address would be. It appears a moment after the server starts.
- In the Server Info message of the Discord bot, so friends can copy it themselves.
Join in game
- Start V Rising and choose Play, then Online Play.
- Open Direct Connect.
- Paste the invite code and connect. Enter the password if the server has one.
Or find it in the server list on Linux
When HaruHost runs as a service on Linux, a tunneled server also shows in V Rising's server list. Friends search the Lobby Name from the server's details and join; the invite code works too.
Why an invite code
The code is the server's Steam ID for this run. It works through the Tunnel and through your own address alike, so friends never need your IP address.
Questions
Why did the invite code stop working?
The server was restarted. V Rising gives the server a new code at every start; copy the new one from HaruHost or the Discord Server Info message.
Can friends join by IP address instead?
HaruHost shows the invite code because joining by address doesn't work through the Tunnel. With Ports, the code works too, so it is the one thing to send.
