HaruHostNothing to forward with the Tunnel
- Choose Tunnel on the Connection step when you create the server. For an existing server, turn the Tunnel on from its Details tab.
- Pick the region closest to your players.
- Start the server and send friends the invite code. When HaruHost runs as a service on Linux, they can also search the Lobby Name in V Rising's server list; see how friends join.
No router or firewall settings to change. On Linux, the Tunnel needs HaruHost running as a service, as the one-command install sets it up.
Ports are handled for you
HaruHost gives every server its own ports, with the Tunnel or without it, so two servers never clash and you never set one by hand. The Details tab lists them under Ports In Use, and the RCON port HaruHost's console uses stays private.
Hosting on your own address
- The ports: the game port, UDP 9876 by default, and the query port, UDP 9877 by default. Don't forward RCON.
- On Windows: turn on Auto-manage UPnP and Auto-manage Firewall and HaruHost opens the ports on your router and in Windows Firewall when the server starts. Or forward your port range once; HaruHost shows the rule under Devices → Manage device → Network Settings.
- On a VPS: open your port range for UDP in the provider's firewall; HaruHost shows it under Devices → Manage device → Network Settings.
