Windows or Linux
- Windows, on the PC you play on or a spare one; see Minecraft Java on Windows.
- Linux, on an Ubuntu VPS or home server, installed with one command; see Minecraft Java on Linux.
Either way you run the server from the desktop app or the web panel, on your phone too.
What HaruHost does for you
- Java: every Minecraft version needs its own Java, from 8 to 25. HaruHost installs the right one for the version you pick.
- The server jar and the EULA: pick the version from a list and tick the EULA box once. No downloads, no eula.txt.
- Memory and start script: nothing to write. Set the memory in the manager.
- Getting friends in: with the Tunnel, friends join without port forwarding, even behind CGNAT.
- Players: everyone who has joined with playtime, kick and ban from the list or from Discord.
- Mods on Windows: Modrinth mods and modpacks for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

Questions
Which Java do I need for a Minecraft server?
It depends on the version, from Java 8 for old versions to Java 25 for the newest. HaruHost installs the right one for you.
Can I run an older Minecraft version?
Yes. Pick it from the version list when you create the server, and the server stays on it until you change it.
