Whitelist players on a Minecraft Java server

Turn on Enable Whitelist and Enforce Whitelist on the server's Server Settings page, start the server, then add each friend with whitelist add <name> in HaruHost's console. Only listed players can join, and anyone you don't want stays out with a ban from the Players page.

Step by step

  1. On the Server Settings page, turn on Enable Whitelist and Enforce Whitelist.
  2. Start the server and open its console in HaruHost.
  3. Type whitelist add <name> for each friend. whitelist list shows who is on it.

Admins (operators)

Type op <name> in the console to make a player an operator, and deop <name> to undo it. OP Permission Level on the Server Settings page sets what operators can do.

Bans

Kick and ban from the server's Players page or the Discord bot; everyone who has joined is listed with playtime. More on the Players page overview.

Questions

Can I run console commands from my phone?

Yes. The console is in the web panel too, on any device.

Does the whitelist work with Online Mode off?

Keep Online Mode on. Without it, the server can't check accounts, so anyone can use a listed name.
