Join by address
- Open the server in HaruHost and go to its Details tab.
- Copy the Server Address (address and port) and send it to your friends.
- In Minecraft, your friends open Multiplayer → Add Server, paste the address and join. Direct Connection works too.
Joining from the same house
Many home routers can't reach their own public address, so when you host on your own address, the PC next to the server can't join with the address you send friends. The Details tab lists a separate Local Address for players on the same network; it works on Windows and for servers without the Tunnel.
Friends without port forwarding
With the Tunnel on, the Server Address goes through HaruHost's relay, so friends join without any router setup. See hosting without port forwarding.
"Outdated client" or "outdated server"
The player's game and the server must run the same Minecraft version. Pick the server's version in HaruHost, or have players choose it in the launcher's installations; see versions and updates.
Questions
Can Bedrock players join a Java server?
Not by themselves. Java and Bedrock servers are separate games; Bedrock players need a Bedrock server.
Why does my server say "Failed to verify username"?
The player isn't signed in to a Minecraft account the server can check. Online Mode is on by default, so every player needs a real Minecraft account.
