7 Days to Die server console and admin commands

HaruHost connects to the 7 Days to Die server's Telnet for you and gives you a console in the desktop app and the web panel. Type admin commands such as say, kick, ban or saveworld without a Telnet client, and let automations send them on a schedule.

Commands people use most

  • say "message": a message to every player.
  • lp (listplayers): who is online, with their IDs.
  • kick <name> and ban add <name> 1 day: remove a player, or keep them out for a while.
  • admin add <name> 0: make a player an admin with full permission.
  • saveworld: save the world now, for example before a backup.
  • settime 22:00 and spawnairdrop: change the time or call an air drop.

Automations

An automation can warn players with say, save the world and restart the server on a schedule, or run any command after a crash or when the game updates.

The Telnet port stays private

HaruHost uses the Telnet port on the same machine, so there is nothing to forward for the console.

Questions

Do I need PuTTY or a Telnet client?

No. The console is built into HaruHost, in the app and the web panel, on your phone too.

How do I become admin on my 7 Days to Die server?

Type admin add <your name> 0 in HaruHost's console while you are online. Level 0 is the highest permission.
