Terraria server ports

With the HaruHost Tunnel you don't forward anything, even behind CGNAT; friends join with the Server Address from the Details tab. HaruHost gives every server its own ports, so several servers run side by side. To host on your own address, forward one port over TCP, 7777 by default.

Nothing to forward with the Tunnel

Choose Tunnel on the Connection step when you create the server, or turn it on from the Details tab, and send friends the Server Address. No router or firewall settings to change.

Ports are handled for you

HaruHost gives every server its own ports, with the Tunnel or without it, so two servers never clash and you never set one by hand. The Details tab lists them under Ports In Use.

Hosting on your own address

  • The ports: TCP 7777 by default.
  • On Windows: turn on Auto-manage UPnP and Auto-manage Firewall and HaruHost opens the ports on your router and in Windows Firewall when the server starts. Or forward your port range once; HaruHost shows the rule under Devices → Manage device → Network Settings.
  • On a VPS: open your port range for TCP in the provider's firewall; HaruHost shows it under Devices → Manage device → Network Settings.

Questions

What ports does a Terraria server use?

One port, TCP 7777 by default. HaruHost gives each server its own; with the Tunnel none needs forwarding.
