Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server guide

How to join a Minecraft Bedrock server

In Minecraft, choose Play, open the Servers tab, scroll down to Add Server and enter the server's address and port. HaruHost shows both on the server's Details tab.

Join by address

  1. Open the server in HaruHost and go to its Details tab.
  2. Copy the Server Address and send it to your friends. Bedrock asks for the address and the port in two fields.
  3. In Minecraft, friends choose Play → Servers → Add Server, enter both, then join.

From the same house

With Enable LAN Visibility on (the default), players on the same network find the server in their Friends tab. The Details tab also lists a Local Address for them.

When friends can't connect

  • The server and the player's game must run the same Bedrock version.
  • The ports must reach the server; see ports and port forwarding.
  • If Allow List is on, the player must be on it.

Questions

Can Java players join a Bedrock server?

Not by themselves. Java and Bedrock are separate games; Java players need a Java server.
