HaruHost

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server guide

Set up a Minecraft Bedrock server on Windows

Install HaruHost on your Windows PC, create a Minecraft Bedrock server and start it. The Auto Config page sets game mode, difficulty, cheats, allow list and world, and HaruHost opens the ports on your router and in Windows Firewall once you turn that on.

What HaruHost does for you

  • bedrock_server.exe: downloaded for the version you pick; nothing to unpack.
  • server.properties: the Auto Config page sets Server Name, Game Mode, Difficulty, Allow Cheats, Max Players, Allow List, Level Name and Level Seed.
  • Ports: turn on Auto-manage UPnP and Auto-manage Firewall and HaruHost opens them when the server starts.
  • Runs without you: the background service keeps the server running when you sign out.

Step by step

  1. Download HaruHost for Windows and sign in.
  2. Choose Add → New game server, pick this PC, then Minecraft Bedrock, and pick the version.
  3. Create the server, then set the world and game rules on its Auto Config page.
  4. Start the server and send friends the Server Address from the Details tab.

Questions

Can I play on the same PC that runs the server?

Yes. With Enable LAN Visibility on, the server shows in your Friends tab on the same network, or join with the Local Address from the Details tab.
