Enshrouded server guide

Move your Enshrouded world to a dedicated server

Copy your world's save files from your game PC, then upload them into the server's savegame folder on its Files page in HaruHost, from any browser. Start the server, and your friends join the world you already built.

Find your world on your PC

Enshrouded keeps the worlds you host from the game in your Steam folder, under userdata\<your Steam ID>\1203620\remote, or in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Enshrouded when Steam Cloud is off. A world's files all start with the same name; your first world's start with 3ad85aea.

Upload it to the server

  1. Stop the server in HaruHost.
  2. Back up the server from its Backups page, so you can go back.
  3. Open the server's Files page and the savegame folder.
  4. Upload your world's files. The server loads the world whose files start with 3ad85aea; if yours start with another name, rename them to start with 3ad85aea instead.
  5. Start the server and join.

The Files page works the same for servers on Windows and Linux, from any browser, on your phone too.

Moving a whole dedicated server

Moving from another dedicated server or PC? Import it instead when you create the server in HaruHost. Browse to its folder, and HaruHost brings its world and settings.

Questions

Do players keep their characters?

Yes. Enshrouded saves characters on each player's PC, so they bring them to the server.

Can I download the server's world to play it myself?

Yes. Download the savegame folder from the server's Files page; folders download as a ZIP.
