How to Connect

Use this guide when you want to connect to your own Enshrouded server. Follow the same flow HaruHost shows in How to connect: make sure the server is online and reachable first, copy the direct join details, then finish the join flow inside Enshrouded.

Part 1: Make sure the server is reachable

If players cannot join yet, solve reachability first.

The easiest path is Tunnel. HaruHost prepares the connection for you so the server can be reachable over the internet without you having to manually set up port forwarding and firewall rules first.

Step 1: Open your server and start the connection guide

Open your Enshrouded server page and use How to connect.

Step 2: Start the server if HaruHost says it is offline

If the server is offline, HaruHost shows the start prompt inside the connection guide.

Step 3: Wait for the server to finish starting

After you press Start, HaruHost keeps the guide open while the server is still booting and preparing the direct join address.

Step 4: Let HaruHost prepare the connection details

Once the server is running and the guide is ready, HaruHost gives you the exact values to use:

  • Direct Join Address: the exact host and port to search for in Enshrouded
  • User Group Password: the password Enshrouded asks for after you press Join

If Auto Config manages Enshrouded User Groups for this server, open User Groups and copy the password for the group you want to join with before switching back to the game.

If the direct join address is not working, treat it as a reachability problem. First check that the server shows Online in HaruHost. If the server was started without Tunnel, enable Tunnel and restart the server.

Part 2: Join the server

Enshrouded uses an online server browser with a direct search flow.

Step 1: Open Play

Launch Enshrouded and select Play from the main menu.

Step 2: Choose Join

On the Play Selection screen, choose Join to open the online server browser.

Step 3: Open Search by IPv4 or Domain

In Online Games, use Search by IPv4 / Domain so you can search for the exact HaruHost direct join address.

Step 4: Paste the Direct Join Address

Copy the direct join address HaruHost shows, paste it into the search dialog exactly as shown, including the port, then press Search.

Step 5: Select the found server and join

When Enshrouded finds the server, select it and press Join. Leave Add to Favorites enabled if you want the server saved for later.

Step 6: Enter the matching User Group password

When Enshrouded asks for a password, enter the password for the user group you copied from HaruHost.

Step 7: Wait for the world to load

After the password is accepted, Enshrouded loads you into the server world.

Troubleshooting

The server is not reachable from the internet

Use Tunnel as the first fix. That is the main HaruHost advantage here, because it gives you a reliable path without making you manually configure router port forwarding and firewall rules first.

Search by IPv4 or Domain does not find the server

  • Check that the server status shows Online in HaruHost.
  • If you enabled the tunnel while the server was already running you will need to restart the server for the tunnel to be properly set up.
  • Re-copy the exact direct join address from HaruHost, including the port.
  • If you use manual setup for firewall and port forwarding, re-check that the rules are correct, stop the server, and run HaruHost port checker to validate that the ports are reachable over the internet.

The password is rejected

  • Copy the exact password for the correct Enshrouded user group from HaruHost.
  • Check whether you are trying to join with a different group than the password you copied.
  • If the password was changed recently, restart the server before testing again.
  • If HaruHost is not managing User Groups for this server, confirm whether the password is being managed outside HaruHost.

The flow is simple:

  1. Make sure the server is reachable.
  2. If reachability is the problem, use HaruHost Tunnel first.
  3. Search for the exact direct join address in Enshrouded.
  4. Enter the matching Enshrouded User Group password when the game prompts for it.
