From the server list
- Copy the Lobby Name from the server's Details tab in HaruHost. New servers are named HaruHost Sons of the Forest and a number until you change it.
- In Sons of the Forest, open the game's server list and search that name.
- Join, and enter the server's password if it has one.
Through the Tunnel on Linux
When HaruHost runs as a service on Linux, as the one-command install sets it up, a tunneled server shows in the list at the Tunnel's public address. Friends join it there with no router setup on your side, even behind CGNAT. See hosting without port forwarding.
Hosting on your own address
On Windows or a VPS with Ports, the list needs the server's ports to be reachable from the internet. On Windows, turn on Auto-manage UPnP and Auto-manage Firewall and HaruHost opens them on your router and in Windows Firewall when the server starts. On a VPS, open your port range for UDP in the provider's firewall.
Not in the list?
- Search the exact Lobby Name, not the Server Name, which is only HaruHost's label for the server.
- Check that the server shows as online in HaruHost.
- On a tunneled Linux server, keep
IpAddressin dedicatedserver.cfg at0.0.0.0. - With Ports, check that the ports are open, or use the Tunnel on Linux.
