How to Connect

Use this guide when you want to connect to your own Minecraft Bedrock server. Follow the same flow HaruHost shows in How to connect: make sure the server is reachable first, confirm the Bedrock client version matches the server version, then finish the join flow inside Minecraft Bedrock.

  • Game Servers → Your Game Server NameHow to connect

If players cannot join yet, solve reachability first.

The easiest path is Tunnel. HaruHost prepares the connection for you so the server can be reachable over the internet without you having to manually set up port forwarding and firewall rules first.

Step 1: Open your server and start the connection guide

Section titled “Step 1: Open your server and start the connection guide”

Open your Minecraft Bedrock server page and use How to connect.

Step 2: Let HaruHost prepare the server for Tunnel

Section titled “Step 2: Let HaruHost prepare the server for Tunnel”

If the server still needs connection prep, HaruHost shows a preparation step inside the guide. This is where HaruHost enables the tunnel path for the current run.

Step 3: Copy the Bedrock join values from HaruHost

Section titled “Step 3: Copy the Bedrock join values from HaruHost”

Once the guide is ready, HaruHost shows the exact values to use:

  • Direct Join IP / Address: the address to paste into Bedrock
  • Direct Join Port: the port to paste into Bedrock
  • Server Password: only needed if the server uses one

If the server address or port is not working, treat that as a reachability problem. First check that the server shows Online in HaruHost. If the server was started without the tunnel being properly prepared, run the How to connect flow again and let HaruHost restart the server if needed.

Part 2: Make sure the Bedrock client version matches

Section titled “Part 2: Make sure the Bedrock client version matches”

Minecraft Bedrock version matching is mandatory. The IP and port can be correct and the connection can still fail if the client is on the wrong Bedrock release.

Step 1: Check the server branch in HaruHost

Section titled “Step 1: Check the server branch in HaruHost”

On the server side, HaruHost shows the Bedrock server branch. For example, this server is on 1.26.3.

Step 2: Match that branch to the Bedrock client label

Section titled “Step 2: Match that branch to the Bedrock client label”

In the Bedrock launcher, the client uses a shorter label. A server branch like 1.26.3 maps to Bedrock client v26.3.

If HaruHost shows server 1.26.3 but the Bedrock client shows a different release label, do not continue until they match.

Minecraft Bedrock uses a saved server flow with separate Server address and Port fields.

Step 1: Open Minecraft Launcher and press Play

Section titled “Step 1: Open Minecraft Launcher and press Play”

In Minecraft Launcher, select Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, confirm the client version matches the server branch, then press Play.

From that Play screen, select Servers.

Scroll down in the Servers list if needed, then use Add Server.

Copy the HaruHost Direct Join IP / Address and Direct Join Port, paste them into Bedrock exactly as shown, and use any saved server name you want.

After choosing Add and Play, Minecraft Bedrock shows a connection screen while it reaches the HaruHost server.

Once the version matches and the connection succeeds, Minecraft Bedrock loads you into the world.

The server is not reachable from the internet

Section titled “The server is not reachable from the internet”

Use Tunnel as the first fix. That is the main HaruHost advantage here, because it gives you a reliable path without making you manually configure router port forwarding and firewall rules first.

Bedrock cannot connect even though the address and port are correct

Section titled “Bedrock cannot connect even though the address and port are correct”

Check the version match first.

  • Compare the HaruHost server branch against the Bedrock client label in the launcher.
  • For example, server 1.26.3 means Bedrock client v26.3.
  • If those values do not match, fix that first before testing the network again.

Bedrock still cannot connect after the versions match

Section titled “Bedrock still cannot connect after the versions match”
  • Check that the server status shows Online in HaruHost.
  • Re-copy the exact Direct Join IP / Address and Direct Join Port.
  • If you enabled or changed tunnel-related settings while the server was already running, let HaruHost restart the server from the How to connect flow.
  • If you use manual firewall and port forwarding instead of the tunnel path, re-check those rules separately.
  • If HaruHost shows a Server Password, keep it ready when you join.
  • If HaruHost shows no password, confirm whether the server password is being managed outside HaruHost.
  • If the password was changed recently, restart the server before testing again.

The flow is simple:

  1. Make sure the server is reachable.
  2. Use HaruHost Tunnel first if reachability is the problem.
  3. Match the Bedrock client version to the HaruHost server branch.
  4. Paste the Direct Join IP / Address and Direct Join Port into Bedrock.
