Disable BattlEye on your ARK: Survival Ascended server

Open the Launch Arguments card, turn on Disable BattlEye and restart the server. HaruHost adds -NoBattlEye to the server's launch line for you; turn the switch off to run with BattlEye again.

Turn BattlEye off or on

  1. Open the server's Launch Arguments card.
  2. Search for BattlEye.
  3. Turn Disable BattlEye on to run without anti-cheat, or off to run with it.
  4. Restart the server.

When to turn it off

BattlEye blocks known cheats on public servers. On a private server for people you know it adds little, and turning it off rules it out when a player is kicked by BattlEye or cannot join. Keep it on for a public server.

Questions

Do players need BattlEye installed to join?

Only when the server runs with BattlEye. With Disable BattlEye on, they join without it.

Does the switch change GameUserSettings.ini?

No. BattlEye is set on the server's launch line, which HaruHost writes from the Launch Arguments card.
