Join by address
- Open the server in HaruHost and copy the Server Address from its Details tab.
- Send it to your friends with the password of the group they should join as. The passwords are in the server's User Groups.
- Your friends join with that address, the same way as any Enshrouded dedicated server.
- Enshrouded asks for the password, which decides whether they join as Admin, Friend or Guest.
Through the Tunnel on Linux
- When HaruHost runs as a service on Linux, copy the Server Address from the server's Details tab and send it with the password.
- In Steam, your friends add the address to their favorite servers.
- In Enshrouded, they open the Favorites and join from there. Steam's own Connect button doesn't join the game.
Joining from the same house
Many home routers can't reach their own public address, so when you host on your own address, the PC next to the server can't join with the address you send friends. The Details tab lists a separate Local Address for players on the same network; it works on Windows and for servers without the Tunnel.
With the Tunnel on Linux, players at home join through the Steam favorite and Enshrouded's Favorites, like everyone else.
Friends without port forwarding
With the Tunnel on, the Server Address goes through HaruHost's relay, so friends join without any router setup. See hosting without port forwarding.
Questions
Where do I find my Enshrouded server's address?
On the server's Details tab in HaruHost, in the app or the web panel. The Local Address there is for players on your own network, on Windows or without the Tunnel.
What do the Admin, Friend and Guest passwords do?
Each password lets a player join as that group, and the group decides what they may do on the server. Send most friends the Friend or Guest password and keep Admin for the people who run the server.
