HaruHost

Important: old mod profiles and old backup settings have been removed. Please read V Rising and Backups below.

V Rising

V Rising servers on Windows now use the new Thunderstore mod manager. Browse mods, build profiles and share them between your V Rising servers and your game. When you start a V Rising server with Auto Config you choose a profile or Without mods, and your choice is remembered for future starts and restarts. Your existing mod files are backed up the first time a profile or Without mods is applied. Using mod profiles on servers needs an active subscription; playing with profiles from Games stays free.

Old V Rising and Valheim mod profiles from the previous mod manager are not carried over. Recreate them in the new mod manager. The old Reset Thunderstore Profiles option in data recovery has been removed with them.

Discord mod commands for Valheim and V Rising servers now add and remove mods in the server's selected mod profile.

You can now play V Rising with your mod profiles from the Games page.

V Rising servers now show an Invite Code where the server address used to be, including in Discord server info. Friends join by pasting it into Direct Connect in V Rising. The code is the server's Steam ID and changes each time the server starts, so copy it again after a restart. Joining by address does not work for V Rising, even with the HaruHost tunnel.

On Windows, the server console for V Rising now shows the server's full log output.

Players now recognises who is on your V Rising servers on Windows by their Steam ID and tracks their sessions and playtime, just like Valheim. While the server is running you can make players Admin, and Kick, Ban or Unban them; banned players are disconnected right away. With Auto Config you can also change admins and bans while the server is stopped. Admins still type adminauth in the in-game console to use admin commands. Existing bans on your server are kept, and existing admins are kept when you manage them from Players.

V Rising servers on Windows now have Chat Logs. Global, local and region chat are saved so you can read and search them later, even while the server is offline. Team chat and whispers stay private and are not saved. You can also send a system message to everyone on the server. V Rising servers can also be added to Discord Chat: global, local and region chat appear in your Discord channel, and Discord messages appear in game.

Players also shows each V Rising player's gear level and records a level-up when a player reaches a new highest gear level.

If a V Rising update arrives before HaruHost supports it, Players shows that player recognition is unavailable until you update HaruHost. Chat Logs works the same way.

To make this work, HaruHost adds its own small server plugin when a V Rising server starts on Windows, even without mods. The first start of each V Rising server after updating HaruHost or the game takes a few extra minutes and more memory while the server prepares it. Later starts, and switching between mod profiles, are quick.

Valheim

Valheim servers now have Chat Logs. Shouts and nearby chat, including whispers, are saved so you can read and search them later, even while the server is offline. You can also send a message to everyone on the server, either in the middle of their screen or in the top-left message list. A player's chat may only be recorded when someone else is on the server to hear it. If a Valheim update arrives before HaruHost supports it, Chat Logs is unavailable until you update HaruHost. Valheim servers can also be added to Discord Chat: shouts appear in your Discord channel, and Discord messages appear in game.

Valheim servers now show who is online, with character names. Player recognition recovers after startup or a temporary interruption.

You can now give Valheim players admin access, kick them, and ban or unban their accounts from Players. Changes apply right away, even for players who are online, and are kept when the server restarts.

Players

Players now shows one Banned status and a single Ban or Unban action. Existing server bans show their source and reason when available. Unban also works for offline players and reports any restriction it could not remove.

Players can now show existing bans for Rust, Soulmask, Core Keeper and Icarus, and for V Rising servers on Linux, in supported server setups. For these servers you can add or remove permanent server bans while the server is stopped.

Automation

You can now add Stop server to an automation. It works like the Stop button and waits until the server has stopped before the next action, so you can stop, back up and start it again. Servers that are already stopped count as a success.

You can now add Shutdown server to an automation. It works like the Shutdown button: the server saves and shuts down, and the automation waits until it has stopped before the next action.

You can now use Device Backup to back up one or more device backup profiles, once per automation run. The existing Backup action is now called Server Backup. Automations with only Device Backup, Wait and Discord message can run without selecting game servers when using a schedule, HaruHost runtime interval or HaruHost starts.

You can create a device backup profile while building or editing an automation without leaving the page. Your draft stays in place and the new profile is selected.

Fixed not being able to get back to a trigger's settings after clicking Change trigger. Going back now shows your trigger's settings again, and clicking the trigger you already selected takes you back to them too.

If a game server selected in an automation has been deleted, the automation now still runs for your other servers instead of failing completely. The deleted server is shown as skipped in the automation's history, and the run is marked as completed with issues so you know to remove it from the automation.

Backups

Backup profiles now have Name, From, To and Keep count, plus simple switches for what to back up. ARK servers can back up only player data or skip extra backup saves. Palworld skips extra world backups by default, and custom backups can skip log files.

ARK player backups have been replaced by the Back up only player data filter. Existing ARK player profiles were removed. Their saved backups stay in the folder.

Old backup settings and schedules have been removed. Please recreate scheduled backups in Automation using Server Backup or Device Backup.

If a backup profile in an automation was removed, it is shown as skipped and your other actions still run. The run completes with issues; if nothing can run, it fails with a clear message.

ARK: Survival Ascended

Fixed new ARK: Survival Ascended servers failing to start on some machines with an "IP address is invalid" error.

Imported ARK: Survival Ascended servers that had no admin password set now get one automatically, so they can start and HaruHost can manage them.

Fixed importing an ARK: Survival Ascended player profile on the Players page failing with "validation failed".

Downloading a player profile from Players now gives you the original .arkprofile file, ready to import, instead of a ZIP.

You can now import several player profiles at once from Players. Review each profile before importing it, with a separate confirmation and backup when replacing an existing profile.

Project Zomboid

You can now export a saved character from Players and restore it to the same account and character slot on its original server and world. Stop the server and review the import first. The previous character is backed up, and other players are kept.

Palworld

You can now export a player's save from Players and review a restore into the same world while the server is stopped. Exports include the player's extra Pal storage when present, and replacing saves keeps a backup. Moving a player to another world is not supported.

General

Updating or restarting HaruHost on Windows no longer stops running game servers, including Valheim.

On a game server's page, Manual Config and Auto Config (or Config Files for ARK: Survival Ascended) are back at the top of the options, followed by Files.
