Configuration

HaruHost gives Ark Survival Evolved servers two configuration paths: Auto Config for a guided setup or Manual Config for deep control, so every admin can work the way they prefer.

  • Game Servers → Your Game Server Name → Overview

The Settings tile contains advanced service preferences (backups, scheduling, global toggles), while the Manual Config and Auto Config tiles control the actual Ark configuration files.

HaruHost keeps both configuration modes in sync with the Overview cards. Premium plans include a limited number of Auto Config slots, so you can dedicate them to the servers where automation saves you the most time.

Auto Config library of configuration categories

Auto Config is the fast path for most admins:

  • Guided UI guarantees valid values across network, player, dino, and cluster settings.
  • Automatically assigns ports, opens firewall rules, and uses UPnP for port forwarding when possible.
  • Reuses settings between servers, making it easy to share passwords, player roles, or mod lists.
  • Installs and manages mods, clusters, and player lists in a few clicks, including admin, exclusive, and VIP roles.
  • Offers roughly 95% of the control power most advanced users need, without risking broken INI syntax.

Manual Config editor with launch arguments field

Manual Config delivers the best experience for advanced users:

  • Edit launch arguments, curate the configuration file list, and keep full compatibility with classic Ark INI layouts.
  • Works even when custom mods or edge case settings fall outside Auto Config’s UI.
  • You maintain responsibility for port choices, file syntax, and keeping the server stopped while editing.
  • Always available regardless of Auto Config slot usage—your manual changes apply as soon as the server restarts.

  • Discord webhooks share player joins, counts, and server status updates with your community.
  • Steam settings, backup management, and copy-server workflows streamline long-term administration.
  • Player tracking helps you see which server a survivor used most recently, making it easy to send them the right join link.
